Ad of the day. Fragile Childhood - The Orphanage

Fragile Childhood - The Orphanage from Studio Arkadena on Vimeo.
What if children could choose their parents?
Orphanages, as we remember them from the early 20th century, through classic movies and books, were a place where hopeful parents could visit and offer a loving home to orphan children. What if the whole situation would be turned upside down? Welcome to The Orphanage of adults.
We all know that children can’t choose their parents. But what if they could? Would that change the way we as parents behave?
Fragile Childhood encourages people to participate in discussion about responsible parental alcohol use:
facebook.com/lasinenlapsu...
Take part on conversation in Twitter: #FragileChildhood #TheOrphanage
The Orphanage film has been planned and produced by Havas Worldwide Helsinki in co-operation with Sauna International & Studio Arkadena.
The Orphanage-film is produced by A-Clinic Foundation Fragile Childhood activity as part of "In the company of children" -responsibility programme of Alko, Finland’s alcohol retail monopoly. In addition of A-Clinic Foundation, programme partners are Finnish National Institute for Health and Welfare, Finnish Parents' League and Mannerheim League for Child Welfare.
The Fragile Childhood activity has begun in 1986 and has been established as a well-known form of activity in Finland.lasinenlapsuus.fi
It is still not widely understood how much harm drinking problems at home cause to children, Fragile Childhood highlights this fact. For example, previous research has shown that every fourth Finnish child has suffered some harm because of parent’s alcohol usage. Research carried out among Finnish teenagers aged 12-18 years shows that children think that their parents ought not to drink at home and that they are much nicer when sober.

Project of the day. björk: biophilia live trailer

"Biophilia, Björk's seventh album, came to us in many forms: as an album, app, concert, documentary, and a deluxe boxset with tuning forks. Now, to complete the package, the singer has released a concert film, which will receive its UK premiere at the London Film Festival on Thursday..." read more at creativereview.co.uk

björk: biophilia live

'biophilia live' is a concert film by nick fenton and peter strickland that captures the human element of björk's multi-disciplinary multimedia project: biophilia. recorded live at björk's show at london's alexandra palace in 2013, the film features björk and her band performing every song on 'biophilia' and more using a broad variety of instruments - some digital, some traditional and some completely unclassifiable. the film has already been hailed as " a captivating record of an artist in full command of her idiosyncratic powers" (variety) and " an imaginative stand-alone artwork" (hollywood reporter) and is a vital piece of the grand mosaic that is 'biophilia.'

Video of the day. Watchtower of Turkey

Watchtower of Turkey from Leonardo Dalessandri on Vimeo.
Over than 3500 km traveled in 20 days, capturing landscapes from the bluish tones of Pamukkale to the warm ones of Cappadocia, the all passing by a great variation of colors, lights and weathers through six other cities.
I've crossed Cappadocia, Pamukkale, Ephesus, Istanbul, Konya; and tasted baklava, kunefe, doner, the turkish tea; and got the chance to meet the soul of Turkey, its people.. and got their smiles and their hospitality.
This is Turkey lived by me from north to south, and I hope you enjoy it :)
