Idea of the day. Black Marabou - Tommy Nilsson.

via creativity-online.com
Black Marabou from Doc News on Vimeo.

Agency:
Forsman & Bodenfors
Marabou is Swedens most beloved chocolate brand. They were going to re-launch Black, a tablet with liquorice. At the same time Tommy Nilsson, the Michael Bolton of Sweden, was about to release his first new single in seven years. So we thought, why don’t they make a comeback together? We got Tommy Nilsson to change his name to Black. Together with a heavy metal makeover we made him into a completely different character than the ballad singer that he is.
But it was of course, all a stunt.
The result? Debates on all major TV, radio and podcast shows and 300 newspaper articles. It even made the frontpage in Sweden's largest newspaper Aftonbladet. The stunt also became the 8th trending topic in the world on Twitter, and became one of Marabous most successful new launches ever.

Outdoor fo the day. Clear Channel Peru: World's first water-making billboard.

via creativereview.co.uk
Clear Channel Peru: World's first water-making billboard from Clear Channel International on Vimeo.

This video tells the story of the world's first ever billboard to create drinking water from humidity in the air.
The unique billboard is the product of a partnership between outdoor advertising owner Clear Channel Peru, researchers at the University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC) in Lima, media agency BNP and advertising agency, Mayo Publicidad.
Launched at the end of 2012, the billboard is now a prominent feature of the skyline in Bujama, a small village community just south of Peru’s capital city, Lima. The climate is oppressive, with some residents of Bujama having no access to a clean water supply. Since the billboard’s arrival, residents of Bujama now have access to an average of 96 litres of drinking water a day.

SLO Down wines is a small winemaker in the heart of California’s wine country. But their attitude is very different from the rest of the stuffy wine industry. They believe wine should be for everyone, the 99%, not just the elites. And while everyone knows the concept of “wine pairings,” the guys at SLO Down have a very different take on what their wine goes great with. This campaign is a series of short films that shows suggested and suggestive pairings for what their wine goes great with.

Fashion film of the day. Starshift: A Ride With Hilary Rhoda, by Santiago and Mauricio Sierra.

Starshift: A Ride With Hilary Rhoda

via NOWNESS
Filmmakers Santiago and Mauricio Shift into Top Gear for an Exciting Interactive Beauty Experience
The power is in your hands in filmmaking duo Santiago and Mauricio Sierra’s highly charged interactive story. Inspired by 8-bit video games and their dad’s all time favorite film, Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, the siblings created the interchangeable shorts featuring a helmeted Hilary Rhoda in four striking looks. Her bespoke, high-tech headpieces were added in post-production, while audio designers Golden Hum provide the aural backdrop—look out for a surprise from them while navigating the story. “We wanted to explore beauty through a playful lens by creating conceptual helmets that would encase facial creations,” says Santiago. “They’re a metaphor that makeup can be a shield to combat everyday life with.” Makeup artist Romy Solemani was behind the feline eyes, fuchsia cheekbones and glossy ombré lips that help characterize the resulting dramatic visages. “There were hints of the 80s and 90s—Antonio Lopez was an inspiration and there’s a bit of Catwoman thrown in too,” he notes. As for the face behind the helmet, Sports Illustrated mega-model Rhoda was a no brainer. “Her beauty is out of this world,” says Maurizio. “It reminds us of Pater Sato’s illustrations. She was the perfect choice.”

From Love to Bingo

Published on May 21, 2012
Patient research work involving more than 5 thousand photographs resulted in a 1 minute film that AlmapBBDO created to advertise Getty Images, the world leading image database for creating and distributing visual contents. The film is surprising when showing 873 images in 15 images per second, sufficient speed to transform the series into a video that, without any text, tells a beautiful story. All photos, without any exceptions, are from the Getty Images archives.

Copywriter Sophie Schoenburg and art director Marcos Kotlhar worked 6 months researching images, improving the script and building each scene so they would not only be understood, but would also touch viewers. Sometimes, for example, a scene would look perfect on paper, but the images chosen to depict it were not sufficient or did not perfectly match up to offer the right movement and sense. And hence the research had to be restarted. The film was directed by Cisma, via Paranoid BR, along with Marcos Kotlhar, the art director at the agency.

For this creation team, the purpose was to adhere to the concept that Getty Images has so many images that anybody is capable of telling any story they want by only using their archives. In the film "Do amor ao Bingo em 873 imagens" [From love to Bingo in 873 images], a storyteller in the corner of the screen describes the images used. The Getty Images logo appears at the end of the story, but the storyteller continues to turn until reaching the exact number of images in the Getty Images archive.

Make The Girl Dance persiste et signe.
Featuring : Nabilla, Vanessa, Elisa, Jasmine, Lorena, Michelle
En concert au Festival Garorock le 29 juin 2013

When powerful electro pop band Make The Girl Dance meets Yo Majesty's flow. Since the release of their album in late 2011, the Parisian duo was overdue. Back in the studio Make The Girl Dance sends a rocket that sounds like THE hit this summer. A sound bouncing supported by sharpened lyrics from the trashy female rap duo made in USA: Yo Majesty! (Domino Rds). A title once again made to roll girls' hips. Dripping with sex appeal and freshness. Make The Girl Dance persists and signs. GIRLZ is a delightfully pop song tainted with the sound of the early 90's that makes you want to swallow a ECSTA old at the time and jump on a dance floor. Of course it also works without the pill. The video was shot during the WMC in Miami with Yo Majesty.
